Hello all of my beloved friends! This isn't holiday season, but I can't hold the urge to post something about holiday destination! Today I'm guiding you to stroll through Tangkuban Perahu. 1. WHAT is Tangkuban Perahu? Mount Tangkuban Perahu is located in Bandung, West Java. Specifically, this place is located in Lembang, Bandung. But what does Tangkuban Perahu means? Perahu means ship. Together they meant: Overturned Boat. If you look from above, the crater kind of resemble the look of an Overturned boat. Because people thought nothing can explain the phenomenon of this mountain, they created a legend about this. You can search it up on google. source: dijelas.in/. 2. Craters
There are plants growing around the crater. The name of this plant is "Manarasa". Young Manarasa leaves are tiny and reddish colored. Based on the Tangkuban Perahu Legend, a woman called Dayang Sumbi received eternal beauty from this plant. Dayang sumbi managed to look young despite her real age. source: phinemo.com/.
Domas is a combination of two words: Domba Emas (Golden Sheep). It is told that someone ever saw a Golden Sheep walking on the crater. If you want to visit Domas Crater, you must pay for a guider. The pathway to Domas Crater is through a forest, therefore most of the few path are covered in roots or soil. By using tour guide, you can received more information about this crater. One of the unique information you can get about plants is that there is a wood that naturally have batik pattern. So no, they don't paint these woods to have the ornate pattern, it's natural! These trees are rarely found in location other than Tangkuban Perahu, Lembang. People sell cups, ashtray, and animal statue from these woods. source: koropak.co.id/ The tour guider told me there used to be a lot of Javan Lutung hanging around the tree. But sadly there aren't many of them left, and I didn't even see one of them :-(. You can see many unique plants though, like golden wooly fern, rhododendron retusum, etc. There are many cool photo spots in the wood, so don't forget to take at least one picture! I will make a part 2 about Tangkuban Perahu, so don't forget to click it!
